An apparatus for demonstrating expansion by heating and 
contraction by cooling. It comprises of a metal bar 110 x 12 
mm length x diameter mounted in the middle on a support 
rod with a wooden handle. The bar fits length ways into a 
brass gauge with a cut-out the length of the bar. The gauge
has 2 holes to take the bar ends when cold.
